Rustic Eco-Friendly Wedding at Wickam Park in CT

Choosing the beautiful Wickham Park for their day, Chrissy and Maegan exchanged vows in a intimate ceremony overlooking Hartford. The garden style environment was a perfect complement to their laid back, rustic style and all the fun DIYs and eco-friendly selections they made for their celebration.

At the ceremony site, the stone walkway aisle was lined with glass jars filled with lovely white and orange wildflowers (the brides carried stunning wildflower bouquets, too!) arranged byThe Flower Girl Weddings. This elegant, simplistic addition was all they needed in terms of decor for their ceremony — the gorgeous surroundings and the view needed no additional accent!

Following their precious exchange of vows, Chrissy and Maegan hosted a fun-filled reception inside the park’s cabin-style banquet hall. The combined efforts of the brides and Piece of Cake Events ensured that their decor again paired perfectly with their backdrop. The big wooden doors of the venue were draped with adorable banners made out of photos of the newlyweds. Inside, their reception tables were topped with royal blue linens, burlap runners, and hand-stitched embroidery hoop table number. And, centerpieces were created with even more lovely wildflowers and vintage milk glass vases! For their favors, the duo gave out environmentally-conscious tree saplings wrapped in burlap.

Chrissy and Maegan’s food choices were just are fabulous as their decor. River House Catering served up an excellent meal and a scrumptious-looking mini pie bar provided their guests with a mouth-watering cake alternative for dessert! After dinner, FM Productions got everyone on the dance floor for a energetic, spirited dance party.

These two have an amazing love and wonderful personalities, and it shows in every detail — from their sweet ceremony to their laughter-filled reception!
