Connecticut DJ Review: Celebration Entertainment

Finding the right Connecticut DJ for your wedding isn’t an easy task (I know from first hand experience). Luckily for me, I made the right choice from the beginning by working withDJ Tommy, owner of Celebration Entertainment.

But it is safe to say, I have NO regrets and now fully understand why they have 75+ reviews and 5 stars here on WeddingReports! DJ Tommy was amazing to work with from start to finish. Having never been married before, I was a newbie to much of this. Tommy was there the whole time, reminding me when things needs to be done and giving me practical tips that helped make the day go by flawless.

The venue I chose, The Barns at Wesleyan Hills, requires it’s DJ’s use their setup. DJ Tommy went up to the facility a month in advance to meet with the wedding coordinator and the owner to make sure that he understood the setup so that there was no confusion the day of. The day of our wedding, he arrived HOURS early to be sure that everything was set up properly.

Tommy and I met in advance to go over my music preferences and do-not-play list. There was not a single song played that I didn’t like, or that upset any of our guests (despite the vast age range in attendance).

The bridal party ran a bit late during cocktail hour while we were taking photo’s os by the time the reception started, people we’re ready to get right out on the dance floor. Instead of letting things get stale, DJ Tommy quickly approached me about opening the dance floor right away rather than waiting for the Father/Daughter dance. I got to enjoy my food, and make a round before getting my dance with my father in, and all of our guests were having a blast in the mean time!

If you haven’t booked a DJ for your wedding yet, do yourself a favor and book Celebration Entertainment, and save your stress for other things. 🙂 And be sure you like them on Facebook, because you never know when else in your life you will need a DJ!
