Fall Wedding at Waveny House in CT by Abbey Domond Photography

[shareaholic app=”share_buttons” id=”4830626″]“The stars were perfectly aligned the day of Catherine and Todd’s wedding,” explained Abbey Domond Photography. “Following a couple days of rain, not only was the sun shining bright, but it was an amazing 81 degrees on a most beautiful fall day.” The weather was indeed amazing — as all the images Abbey Domond snagged show — and created a stunning backdrop for their celebration at the Waveny House.

Catherine and Todd kicked off their wedding day with an intimate first look on the lawn that illustrated just how happy they were to be marrying each other! Following, they exchanged vows in a tearful (they and their guests let the happy tears flow!) ceremony at the mansion’s beautiful garden and hosted a wonderful outdoor cocktail hour on the terrace filled with lawn games, libations, and lots of love.

Inside the mansion, guests dined on a fabulous meal from Connecticut’s own Catering by Christine. When the couple’s dear friends and family members weren’t ohh-ing and ahh-ing over the culinary creations, they headed to the dance floor to get down to hits played by Kunjan Collective and chowed down on slices of the delicious cake DiMare Pastry whipped up for the festivities.

And the decor — what a stunning sight! The orange, white, and gold palette complemented the deep tones of the dining room and gave the atmosphere a nice touch of fall. The reception tables featured chair coverings from A Chair Affair, soft orange linens and a plethora DIY floral arrangements featuring roses and hydrangeas from Stew Leonard’s. “Following cocktails on the terrace and dinner inside the mansion,” remembers Abbey Domond Photography, “guests danced the night away under a beautifully moonlit sky. It was the perfect ending to a perfect wedding day!”
