We can honestly say that Heartbeat Dance Band made our wedding. The music was amazing - they had everyone on the dance floor from the moment they started playing. They know how to "work the crowd" and understand what types of songs people want to hear. We had many guests come up to us and say that Heartbeat was the best band they've ever seen by far at a wedding. And, they were great to work with in planning the wedding. GREAT JOB! We would highly recommend them to anyone.

Heartbeat Dance Band performed at our wedding on October 12, 2008. Barbara was so pleasant, accomadating and such a delight to work with. She made me feel comfortable about my decisions. The day of the reception the band went above and beyond what we expected and the guest raved all night about how awesome the band was. We were excited to see that they had people on the dance floor all night. Guest are still talking about the band. You guys were great and thank you Barbara for a wonderful, amazing, everything I dreamed of wedding.

I cannot rave enough about this band! How amazing they made our wedding! We had it at St. Clements Castle (amazing, place, too!), and the band had EVERYONE dancing in no time. They were soo sweet and kind to deal with the entire time- every little request they accomodated so willingly! The voices, the beats, the music, their repetior was just unbelievable. There aren't enough ways to say that this band MADE our wedding fabulous! Other quick note- because I really couldn't get over how amazing our wedding was, how it exceeded my wildest expectations, I want to just name other vendors we used that went above and beyond: Sharon Elizabeths - florist; Creative Cakes by Donna; Richard Penna Hair Salon, stylist: Griselle; St. Clements was awesome, too. When we first booked our venue, the venue manager told us it was worthless to get a dance band because no one ever danced at daytime weddings. Apparently he wasn't aware of Heartbeat Dance Band! Within minute, everyone was on the floor cutting a rug. Barbara took the reigns and was the coordinator the entire day, telling us where we should be and when. She treated us respectifully and we had a wonderful time. We had a wide array of people at our wedding and everyone was on the dance floor for all songs. So many people have told us that it was one of the best weddings they had been to because it was just so much fun. We know this is because of the band and their ability to get everyone moving. They learned a song for us and sang it beautifully, as well as the artist himself. They also played at our ceremony and did an amazing job at that on the classical guitar and soprano sax. Through the entire day, they were helpful and fun and went well beyond our expectations. We are thrilled we decided to go with them and they were free. Our highest recommendation and well worth the money spent. They made our day what it was - memorable, lovely and a whole lot of fun!

Dear Barbara Thank You so much for the wonderful party in celebration of our daughters marriage. We firmly believe that the music can make or break a wedding. We would cut back on all extras if necessary to have your band . The flowers, the food the favors none of it is as important for a memorable fun event as the music. As you may remember over 60% of our guests were between 25 and 35. The dance floor was never empty not even during your breaks with your cd choices. The over 40 to 60 crowd was also on the floor which is also amazing!!!!The rave reviews are still coming !!!! Barbara - I don't know how Matt and I could ever thank you enough for such a wonderful night! You and your band were fantastic at our wedding reception. We all had so much fun! I don't think I ever remember seeing a wedding dance floor as packed as ours was the entire night! We have received so many compliments from our guests as well who cannot say enough good things about you and your band and how much fun they had that night. What I appreciate, too, is that in addition to being superb that night, you were also a pleasure to work with during the months heading into the event. Working with you made the process enjoyable, and eliminated any need to worry about how things would go the night of the wedding. I really was able to just show up and enjoy the party without feeling like I had to keep track of anything that night; I knew your competent and capable hands would handle it all. Unfortunately, I don't think Matt and I will have occasion to hire you all again any time soon (though we had so much fun that day, I am trying to talk my parents into doing it again next June!), but I will certainly recommend you to anyone I know who may be considering a live band, and please let me know if I can help in any way with recommendations. Heartbeat is AWESOME!!!!! If you are in need of a band to get the party started, and keep it going all night, you should book them. We had them for our August 2006 wedding and they surpassed our expectations. We had gone to see them a few times at their Showcases and were extremely impressed. When it came down to the details before the wedding, they were professional and helpful. They made great suggestions and everyone is STILL talking about how terrific they were. We had someone comment that our wedding was the first they'd been to where more people danced than not---everyone was dancing!!! It was a great night and I really owe it to Heartbeat... book them!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Barbara & Heartbeat, All I can say is that you and the members of your band were simply outstanding and instrumental (please pardon the pun) in creating a magical experience for everyone who attended ... including the staff at The Goodwin!!! Everyone, and I mean everyone, raved about you and how even the normally "non-dancers" felt compelled to get on their feet to join in the genuine fun that everyone said they experienced. Our original impression was that the success of the reception was, in large part, dependent on music. While the venue was important, the best of venues could be negated with inferior entertainment. On the other hand, a less desirable venue would be enhanced by quality entertainment. Therefore, we devoted a considerable amount of time listening to, and comparing, countless groups. As it turned out, yours became the standard by which we compared all others and there simply were none better. Adding a phenominal band to a superb venue meant everything was in place for a tremndous evening -- and we weren't disappointed. You were happy to share the day and we were proud to have you represent us to our friends and families. If there is anything we can do to spread your word, you only have to ask. I was so blown away by this band, I can't even explain! After my husband and my first dance, our guests were invited to join us, and within minutes (literally!) the dance floor was full with people sweating and dancing away!! Within the first hour, they had our two guests who NEVER dance out on the dance floor. It was really unbelievable. I was having so much fun, I couldn't pull myself away from the dance floor to even check my make-up. They were also SO accomodating. I planned my wedding from afar and didn't have time to any vendor hand-holding, and they did not need it at all. They played to the crowd, and it worked. They also even let a friend of mine, who's a singer from Alabama, take over on Sweet Home Alabama, which made his night and got our guests revved up! They also created a duet version of "She's Got a Way" for our first dance that was beautiful... They clearly worked very hard at it... AND they incorporated a song that we had in our ceremony towards the end, just to really tug at people's emotional meters even though neither my husband nor I had the time to ask. Needless to say, whenever the wedding is discussed, our guests rave about this band. You can't go wrong here.

Having Heartbeat at my September 20th wedding was one of the best decisions I made in my planning. Barbara was so amazing to work with, and was able to accomodate everything we requested. The band performed amazingly- it was like really being a concert! My guests danced ALL NIGHT LONG... everyone came up to me during and after the wedding just raving about the music. During my wedding, we had two last minute changes- my uncle wanted to sing a song for us (as he is a musician) and my brother-in-law as well. The band accomodated them and it was a big hit. My father who is hard to impress was just thrilled with them! I owe it to them for such a successful wedding!
