WE attended a wedding on September 23. The staff was extra professional. The service was outstanding as well as the food.

It is hard to believe that it will be almost a month since our wedding celebration at the Riverview. My husband and I took time in making sure we picked the right spot for our wedding ceremony and reception. As we explained to Tina the manager during our first meeting, this was a second wedding for the two of us and we were looking for a venue that would help us create a very unique event without compromising the details that are important in making a wedding reception a success. The challenge in the planning was that I was living in NYC full time and in CT only for the weekends. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff from the get go. Tina assigned us Alison as our wedding coordinator and she was terrific from the start. She was diligent in corresponding with us via telephone and email. As we met in person to plan out the small details and our menu, I was amazed at how accommodating The Riverview was. This was not a simple task since our wedding guest list was comprised of a diverse group of family and friends. Many vegetarians, people with gluten allergies, foodies with high food expectations and the folks who just like the good old fashion meat and potatoes kind menu. Ali assured me that there would be plenty of food during the cocktail hour and that the food in our stations would be plenty, hot and flavorful. I also wanted to ensure that there would be enough wait staff to accommodate the needs of the 125 guest we had attending. During the course of the planning, I was able to brainstorm on additional details on a new design for our cake, the set up of the ceremony space and other details and Alison was open to the new ideas and did not flinch at my many requests for implementing them. The Riverview and Alison brought our wedding vision to fruition. They executed every detail flawlessly and made us feel comfortable and at ease on our day that everything was going right on track. It is close to one month after our wedding…I am still hearing how spectacular the food was from all of our family and friends that attended, including all my NYC friends who sometimes could be very discerning when it comes to food at social functions. People keep raving about the mash potato station, the beautiful cake, the service from all the staff…I loved the fact that I had a waitress assigned to me for the day and she was at my side to ensure I had food and drinks any time during my special day. There is no way to properly review this venue and be brief. Over all, suffice it to say that I feel this is “THE PLACE” for any type of social function. I checked our other wedding venues, caterers and I am so happy I followed my instincts. Lastly, Katy the office manager was superb as well. On the two occasions that I called as a “frantic” bride she was professional, sweet, calming and very helpful. I commend the management of The Riverview for having all of their team be dedicated to the satisfaction of their clients and outstanding customer service.

After looking at half a dozen wedding venues, we selected the Riverview based on reputation, appearance and pricing. We asked last minute if we could "drop in" for a tour, to which The Riverview was very accommodating. The venue was clean, modern and beautiful. My husband and I had actually attended one of the first weddings held by The Riverview about (3) years ago, and the service, food, ambiance and drink selection was superb. Seeing The Riverview in the same excellent condition as it had been in (3) years prior really helped to solidify our decision. Our wedding coordinator, Alyson, was wonderful. She answered every single question promptly and professionally. She was friendly, easy to work with, and not at all intrusive during the wedding night (just the right amount of interaction to help keep the wedding going smoothly). My family and coworkers have been raving about the food and the venue since our wedding (3) weeks ago. Guests stated that each meal was actually prepared exactly to how they ordered it, which is rare when accommodating a large banquet. The Riverview really is a beautiful space, and I would highly recommend it to couples planning an elegant, formal, yet budget-friendly wedding. (Also, my coworkers were so impressed that they are trying to have our company holiday party held at The Riverview).

Your staff was extremely professional and attended to all the details with a positive and friendly attitude. All our guests commented on how their every need was met throughout the entire wedding. They also commented on how much food there was and how everything was delicious. Having spent the past year coordinating every aspect of the day, it was an incredible joy for us to be allowed to enjoy ourselves, being comfortable that you were all working behind the scenes to provide an evening of effortless beauty. I have had the privilege of working with this company at all four of their venues since they opened. Riverview in Weatogue, Candlewood Inn in Brookfield, Waterview in Monroe and Fox Hill Inn in Brookfield. They are all top notch. The food is always good, the staff is always pleasant and helpful, they pay attention to every detail. The venues are well kept and provide plenty of area's inside and out for me to exercise my Artist/creative style of photography rain or shine. The Riverview has a beautiful view of the Farmington River which is pleasing to the eye in any season. I highly recommend all of their venues from a professional vendors point of view.

My wedding day at the Riverview was everything I'd dreamed of (and more!) In addition to how beautiful the Riverview is itself, Stephanie, Susie, and their team delivered white glove service. Their attention to every detail (including providing us with two personal attendants) made the day like a fairy tale wedding. Our every need was catered to - sometimes even before we knew we needed something. On a day when every girl deserves to feel like a princess and every boy deserves to feel like a prince, they did just that for this bride and groom. And now it's fun reliving the day - even our guests are still talking about the wedding!

From the minute you stroll through the door, your wedding will materialized into your imagination. The Riverview offers all of the facets of an expertly synchronized evening of celebration. The preplanning of my daughters wedding went without a hitch. We were not stressed but actually excited. I loved the fact that we could just "drop in" to take pictures, or match colors. Maureen, Arial, Tina are some of the energetic miracle workers, who actually listened to you. Assured us that everything would go off without a hitch. They conducted the wedding like a fine tuned orchestra, communicating, directing and helping some of guest's who needed assistance. The evening of the wedding was flawless, glamorous, and most of all delicious. The meal was timed perfectly. The pastry chef's design of the wedding cake was outstanding. Our guest's still comment on how beautiful the cake was. There was leisure in the air, no rushing, truly a wonderful evening. I would highly recommend The Riverview, there is not one venue who can compete with the value you will receive at this beautiful wedding spot.

Just attended a friend's wedding at the Riverview, and it was great! The place is beautiful, from the ceremony area outside to the gorgeous ballroom inside. The food and service were wonderful, and my friends were so happy and well taken care of on their special day. Heard lots of compliments from friends and family. Would love to go back again!
