The Storyteller’s Cottage in Simsbury is Connecticut’s newest historical wedding venue!  Located in a vintage 1896 Victorian manor house, The Storyteller’s Cottage features two full floors of beautiful rooms decorated with antique furnishings for your intimate wedding, shower or rehearsal dinner.  For just $300 per hour, you may rent the entire house for your event, including the lovely red and gold Victorian Steampunk Library, the elegant blue and silver Jane Austen Salon, the charming pink English Kitchen on the first floor, and even an unusual medieval castle room hidden behind a secret bookcase wall, and a magical common room inspired by Harry Potter on the second floor.  You and your guests have full use of the house, including two bathrooms (one handicapped accessible), the kitchen appliances for your caterer (including double ovens), and free parking in front of and behind the house.  The Storyteller’s Cottage is also a beautiful setting for your wedding or engagement photos.  For just $25 per hour, you may bring a photographer and have the use of the entire house as a backdrop for your charming literary pictures.  With all of its evocative, literary-themed rooms, The Storyteller’s Cottage is the perfect location for your unique, literary-themed wedding or shower.  Bring your own ideas and decorations, or sit with us to brainstorm how we can help.
