I was so excited to work with the A Thyme to Cook team from the very start! They took a lot of time to understand our vision and were so helpful along the way. I had no idea the level of detail is involved in everything and don't know how I could have pulled it off without them. Our family and friends are adventurous food lovers and the food was spectacular. It's like a pop-up dinner! From beginning to end, totally flawless flavor, staffing, timing, design, presentation, personalization and organization. I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job!

Catering is one of the most important things when planning your wedding – and can also be the most stressful! We knew we were in good hands with Juli, Lexie, and the Thyme to Cook team. They created a menu specifically for us that included food from our mixed heritages – and I can imagine it’s not easy to come up with a proper meal that has Jamaican, Jewish, and Italian influences! They were incredibly responsive during the planning process and very accommodating as we made changes to linens, alcohol, etc during the planning phase after we booked. The service the night-of was impeccable and our dedicated server, Nicole, was outstanding when she brought us hors d'oeuvres outside, in the rain, while we took photos. Everyone at ATTC works together to ensure you have a perfect night and they certainly delivered.

We had our reception at Harkness State Park in Waterford CT on June 3, 2011- they have a list of 6 caterers that they allow to cater at this location. After many tastings and meetings with caterers, we decided to go with A Thyme to Cook. We had the pleasure of working with Dave from the start- he was awesome! He was very attentive, he listened to our wedding ideas, gave advice and his professional opinion when asked, and was able to work within our budget constraints. He never pressured us for any "upgrades" and many times suggested some cost effective alternatives- clearly not just looking to "make money" off of us. The food was excellent and they went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. On the day of the wedding, Dave was our "go-to" guy- all vendors went to him for directions, he totally ran the show, made everything seamless, and made himself available for whatever we needed. When one of the vendors neglected to show for our wedding(!!), Dave was right there with us (dealing with our full blown panic attack!), and suggested another company he has worked with to fill in. He had the number to the company and made the arrangements for us, so we didn't have to stress about it any longer, and the new vendor was perfect. The server assigned to us at the wedding was excellent- she was totally attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent- the only negative was I was told there were long lines at our reception for the food stations- some guests said they waited 30 minutes in line for food. Despite that, I felt this caterer was amazing, professional, and the food was excellent. Well worth the money!!

The food at our wedding was fantastic!! Our guests raved about the food, and went back for seconds. We were so impressed with both the quality and taste of the food, as well as the professionalism shown by the staff! I saw a good friend today, and she said " I still think about that fabulous salmon that we ate at your wedding!!" I cannot say enough good things about A Thyme to Cook... they truly added to our special day!!

Linda Sample and company are an amazing group to work with! A million thanks to them for all they did to make thewedding run so smoothly.Their experience, common sense, patience, flexibility and graciousness provided a strong underpinning for the evening. And, boy, did we need it! Knowing there was a hurricane approaching, there were 5 possible scenarios worked out in detail between us, and yet, the day of the wedding, a completely different plan had to be executed and the details of that plan changed up until 15 minutes before the ceremony. Linda's calmness and decisiveness were both needed and appreciated. For all the details that were discussed prior to the wedding, nothing prepared us for all the extras that were added. The presentation on the bars, the food stations and the buffets was over the top. The food was phenomenal, delicious, imaginative, and balanced. The service unobtrusive and thorough. Am I gushing? I hope so. The entire experience was both professional and enjoyable. Their assistance was invaluable in the process of planning an event this size and helping my daughter and her husband to make it their own.

A Thyme To Cook catered my outdoor wedding five years ago and we're still raving about the food. It was an outdoor wedding, where the food was prepared in catering ovens and the food was hot, fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff took care of me and my wedding party and made my husband and I feel like royalty. The staff is over the top...every detail was seen to. I would definitely recommend them...haven't had better catered food at any event!

I used A Thyme to Cook for my wedding last month and they were amazing! I loved that they customized the menu specifically for me and my husband – we didn’t have to choose a typical menu that everyone else would have too. The staff was exceptional. We didn’t have to worry about anything because there was always someone there to help. They took care of all the details that I had been stressing about for so long! I would highly recommend them for anything!
