[shareaholic app=”share_buttons” id=”4830626″]Sarah and Jaryd’s wedding is a seaside dream! The pair’s big day celebrated both their love for each other and their love for family and friends. The wedding took place in the gorgeous Mystic, Connecticut and was beautifully captured by Simply K Studios. The fantastic Mystic Seaport and Latitude 41 Restaurant provided a simply stunning backdrop to this beautiful, nautical affair.
Sarah started her day getting ready with her bridesmaids. Her friends and family in the wedding party donned gorgeous, flowing light pink gowns for the affair that featured strapless sweetheart necklines. The bride wore a gorgeous Romona Keveza gown that featured a perfect fit and flare silhouette and lace detailing throughout that was perfect for the outdoor ceremony. Her peep toe shoes by Kelly and Katie were the perfect compliment to the gown, but what was most notable was the bride’s decision to tie her late father’s wedding band to the inside of her gown with blue ribbon. For all of the bride’s beauty, the groom looked equally as handsome. His grey suit and navy tie were perfect for the nautical theme, but our favorite detail were the anchor and helm printed socks that he wore.
The Mystic Seaport provided the perfect backdrop for the stunning ceremony. With the sea in the background and friends and family in attendance, Sarah and Jaryd’s day was set to be perfect. The pair were all smiles as they tied the knot, and in a celebration of their becoming one, the two involved their family members into the ceremony. Tears of happiness flowed from the bride as the ceremony continued, and the pair’s sweet display of love for one another was remarkable. However, perhaps the best moment was the epic kiss at the top of the aisle. Jaryd dipped his bride in old Hollywood fashion as the pair were declared husband and wife, and we love the romantic moment!
After the ceremony, the couple took a few moments to capture some particularly gorgeous photos in front of the remarkable Charles W. Morgan. The ship is the last of an American whaling fleet and was constructed in 1841. The seaport and the Charles W. Morgan gave the wedding’s nautical theme a grand boost, and we love the grandness of the captured images as well as the romantic images of the couple at the incredible Mystic Seaport.
After posing for pictures, the couple made their way to Latitude 41 in a perfect ride from Joshua’s Limousine Service. The restaurant was the perfect backdrop to the nautical theme. With distressed wooden paneling along the walls and amazing architecture, the venue truly does remind one of a ship. The pair kept their tables simple and elegant with small pink and white arrangements, and the guests dined on fare from Coastal Gourmet. While the tables were understated, the gorgeous cake took a more dramatic but still relatively understated turn. With large pink flowers adorning the top and sugar pearls along the layers, the cake looked gorgeous and stood out in the otherwise mostly cream and wooden decor.
After speeches by friends and family and the cutting of the cake, the couple and their guests were able to dance the night away thanks to the stellar DJ services of DJ Marty and Company. Everyone in attendance looked absolutely blissful as they helped the couple celebrate their wedding. It was truly a gorgeous affair, and we wish all the best the Sarah and Jaryd! Congratulations!
