The shoot took place at the spring equinox, and while Connecticut was still experiencing the cold snow or winter, this wedding surely warmed our hearts. The lush, green vegetation adds a whimsical quality straight out of a dream. The touches of whimsy and romance lend a fairy tale quality to this incredibly artistic shoot that will hopefully have brides clamoring to plan their wedding in the early spring.
Corey Lynn Tucker Photography’s styled wedding shoot took place at the gorgeous South Farms in Northwestern Connecticut. The rolling green hills surrounding the restored farm house immediately lends a vintage feel to the shoot. Vintage decor was added to the mix courtesy of Sassafras Vintage Rentals. The use of antique furnishings contribute a unique but classic flair to the wedding that is only enhanced with rentals from Tents Unlimited, and who could forget the verdant, lush floral arrangements by Sarah Worden Natural Design. The stunningly dramatic table settings are vibrantly green but tastefully punctuated by simple and beautiful pink and white roses which are carried into the elegantly simple wedding cake by Amanda Bakes LLC. The menus, invitations, and place cards accentuate the lush, verdant feel of the reception space with their rustic design brilliant created by The Nice Paper Company.
The styled bride donned an absolutely exquisite lace gown with a fit and flare silhouette that perfectly accented the vintage feel of this wedding shoot. The dress, courtesy of Julie Allen Bridals, was expertly styled with help from hairstylist Faye Liseo and makeup artist Candee Caldwell. The ladies gave the bride a loose, romantically curled updo and natural makeup with a pink lip that emphasized the coming of spring. The perfect jewels for the shoot were provided by Barbaret Jewelers and helped complete the look. The groom donned a khaki suit and newsboy cap, which helped to accentuate the old world feel of the entire styled wedding.
With lush, emerald floral arrangements, vintage furnishing, and old world style, this shoot is nothing short of a whimsical fairy tale. For all of the vintage loving Connecticut brides out there, this shoot is sure to give you plenty of inspiration for your very own spring equinox wedding.
