[shareaholic app=”share_buttons” id=”4830626″] Seersucker prints, a lakefront venue, and a raw oyster bar — this styled shoot may hail from our friends in Texas, but with details like that it’s a perfect source of wedding inspiration for a Connecticut-based bride!
Themed after the boating culture in Texas, this styled wedding shoot combines the preppy tastes often sported by the boat-loving crowd and the best things about living near the water (hello, fresh oysters!). The really get things rolling in the right direction, Pearl Events Austin and Jenny Demarco Photography chose the stunning Bella Varenna as the focal point and backdrop for their project. Once they had the location down, everything else just seemed to fall into place. A print common to the chic fashions associated with boating, seersucker became a major decor piece — the bouquets featured monogrammed seersucker ribbons, the styled bridesmaids were gussied up in seersucker sundresses, and the tablescape and invitation designs incorporated the print in fun, sophisticated ways, too!
Accenting the soft whites and blues of seersucker, the creatives behind this school added little friendly pops of color by intertwining fuchsia-toned accents and florals by Bouquets of Austin throughout the look. In addition to a winning color palette, this preppy styled wedding shoot dazzled us with a really fabulous dessert display, which featured neon pink, teal blue, and navy desserts and a jaw-dropping wedding cake by Michelle’s Patisserie. And don’t even get us started on the gorgeous signature cocktails!
However, as New Englanders, we couldn’t help but love the delightful raw oyster bar more than anything else. Nestled in a perfect spot below the trees between the styled ceremony and receptions, the oyster bar drew us with a colorful chalkboard sign reading, “aww shucks.” Compared the to rest of the event, the styling here took on a more subdued, neutral tone. A decision we think was perfect for really letting the delectable food display really shine.
The prettiness just keeps flowing from there, ladies and gents, so take a gander below to uncover even more ideas for your upcoming New England wedding day!
